Paul is a partially sighted guitarist, singer and songwriter who can be heard busking in Joburg's northern suburbs.

Paul's sight was impaired after contracting meningitis when he was just eight year's old. After two months of treatment in hospital he enrolled in blind school and began learning how to cope with his loss of vision. Apart from the obvious skills of reading Braille he was also taught guitar. He now composes his own songs in his favourite style of gospel.

Paul is very passionate about his music and loves to express himself through his guitar playing and singing. He has a wonderful soulful quality to his voice and a natural ease in his playing. He is currently in the studio working on an album.

Paul lives in Daveyton with his wife, who also blind, and their two children who are both in primary school in the area. Although they do receive a small disability allowance Paul supplements their income through his busking.

Look out for Paul in Bryanpark and Broadacres shopping centres, when you see him spend a little time listening to his music and support him with a small donation.
