Author: Neale Donald Walsh![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There was alot of hype around this book when it came out - so I resisted reading this for a long time. When things died down a bit I decided to find out what the fuss was all about. This book took me by surprise. It was not all what I expected. Without giving too much away, the author is at an all time low in his life. So he sits down and starts writing his thoughts and frustrations in a letter to God. All quite normal up to this point, because this is where something wonderful starts to happen, he gets a response back. When the letter finished he continues with is questions on life - and so begins the conversation. Firstly it's not so much 'a conversation' more like an argument. It was very easy reading, and I had trouble putting it down. There were some difficult, heavy patches which I found hard going, but on the whole it was witty, entertaining and a good read. But, what I liked most about this book is that it made me rethink some of my own thoughts on the universe. It's one of those rare books that yields something different on each read. So Book Two is going to have to wait a bit longer, I want to read this a few more times first. |

This is the powerful story of the author's struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and how a healer's unusual prescription of mindful altruism - to 'give away 29 gifts in 29 days' - ignited her energy, her happiness, and invited more abundance into her life.
