Author: Paulo Coehlo![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This was one of the most inspiring books that I have ever read. Paulo Coelho's formula is simple; easy to read story telling combined with a powerful message. With this he has found incredible international success selling over 20 million copies of this book alone worldwide. The story follows a young shepherd boy from the hills in southern Spain who is disturbed by a recurrent dream about the pyramids in Egypt. Upon meeting a gypsy and a wise old king he decides to undertake a journey to these ancient monuments and to search for the treasure that he is told he will find there. The journey turns out to be far more than a simple search for the material treasure and rewards that he had imagined and instead becomes one of self-discovery and spiritual growth. Paulo Coelho has written this book in such a way that it is open to interpretation for any reader, young or old, from whatever religous or spiritual beliefs, everyone can benefit from it. This theme of spiritual growth any reader can interpret from their own unique spiritual perspective. |

This is the powerful story of the author's struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and how a healer's unusual prescription of mindful altruism - to 'give away 29 gifts in 29 days' - ignited her energy, her happiness, and invited more abundance into her life.
