Author: John L.Payne![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Family Constellation therapy asks you to acknowledge what is. To see things as they are, and to know that you are the only one who can change, and through this bring change to all those around you. Finding honour and respect for those that came before you, you allow them to look friendly upon you as you walk your own way in life. These are your ancestors, and they give you life. It is up to you, to take this life forward in honour of them. This is your task, and setting up a constellation of your family of origin could be your first step to untangle that which stands in your way… This book explains how Family Constellation therapy works, using many case studies – making it an easy to understand book whose ideas can be grasped simply by reading these case studies. Using the systemic family therapy developed by Bert Hellinger, tensions and conflicts within families can be revealed. Through the use of representatives, the person involved can observe the psychic dynamics of his or her own family, and identify patterns which are destructive. It certainly makes for interesting reading! I was a bit dubious at first... how could ‘representatives’ have any idea what was or had been going on in the head of say my great grand-mother who has been dead for decades? I was surprised to find out that the energy surrounding the issues appears to permeate deeply and the representatives are able to immediately sense the emotions and thoughts of those family members. The healing that takes place spans generations – and crosses racial and cultural barriers – for a multitude of issues. Drug dependency, sexual orientation, depression, relationships within the family, guilt, shame, dysfunction... the list is endless. Many of the issues dealt with in this book involve cultures and nations, hence the title. All in all a very thought provoking book for anyone interested in healing. |

This is the powerful story of the author's struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and how a healer's unusual prescription of mindful altruism - to 'give away 29 gifts in 29 days' - ignited her energy, her happiness, and invited more abundance into her life.
