Demartini Dr John Demartini begins this book by telling us that we all possess seven secret treasures, incredible riches that are already within us, that when uncovered will shine so brightly that who you are will be emblazoned on the heart of the world and even beyond. The chapters in the book each focus on what Demartini refers to as our seven secret treasures; Genius: Your Mental Treasures, Immortality: Your Physical Treasures, Divinity: Your Spiritual Treasures, Wealth: Your Financial Treasures, Power: Your Vocational Treasures, Unity: Your Family Treasures, and Leadership: Your Social Treasures. For each of them Demartini shares his thoughts, experiences and teachings, and explores the various myths and misconceptions that you may have developed around yourself, before going on to provide many practical ways in which to unearth and polish the buried treasure. This is one of those books that you’re going to need to read with a notebook and pen or pencil as the exercises come thick and fast, it’s never anything complicated but they do require moments of introspection. Indeed it may at first seem that there are too many tasks to do, too many areas on which to focus so we were pleased when in the afterword of the book Demartini suggests to “pick just one area, one treasure that you feel sincerely inspired to polish to its most brilliant shine.” We suggest reading the entire book at first and then going back to then reread and work on the treasures that particular resonated with you or the ones to which you’d like to give your time and attention. ‘The Riches Within’ will be a source of reference and inspiration for many years and it’s likely you’ll enjoy rediscovering it and working on those unearthed treasures at a later date. We found ‘The Riches Within’ to be truly inspiring with every page containing ideas and suggestions that immediately trigger the “I can do that” response, a sense of self-belief and confidence is instilled in the reader throughout. Demartini has a wonderful style of writing that is powerful and intelligent without being complicated or jargonistic, the ideas speak to you and simply ‘make sense’ without the need to digest or ponder the meaning, it’s a refreshing style. |

This is the powerful story of the author's struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and how a healer's unusual prescription of mindful altruism - to 'give away 29 gifts in 29 days' - ignited her energy, her happiness, and invited more abundance into her life.
