Creators: Colleen-Joy Page & Lionel BermanDespite the strange background music and fluctuating sound quality I actually really enjoyed this collection of four guided meditations. By in large I found them to be relaxing, empowering and quite refreshing, bringing a sense of balance and harmony to my day.

Both of the guides in these meditations, Colleen-Joy Page and Lionel Berman, have gentle reassuring voices that compliment each other perfectly. They take turns to guide us through the meditations which last for roughly fifteen minutes each.

Colleen-Joy Page in the first meditation, titled 'Your Soul Knows', guides the listener through the process of integrating the soul into the body with the purpose of solving an issue or problem that you are currently experiencing. We are told that the soul knows the truth and has all the answers; it is through this meditation that this knowing is brought into the body.

The second meditation, designed to open your emotions and communication, begins with imagining yourself in an ocean swimming with dolphins, connecting with their energies of playfulness, trust, openness and love. Being a very visual and imaginative person I really enjoyed this meditation and although I got confused as to when I supposed to be breathe (Lionel Berman didn't explain this particularly well until near the end of the meditation) I found that I was full of serenity and calm and felt refreshed and joyful when it was over.

The third meditation is for whenever you feel you need to realign with your soul purpose, gain a sense of strength or meaning in your life. This one again involves lots of imagery which I enjoyed and found that it helped me to get into and stay in a state of deep relaxation. The goal of the meditation is again to connect with your soul and gain strength from it.

The last of the meditations, 'Creating Reality', I found to be a bit to ambiguous and hard to get into and so was my least favourite.

There were two aspects of this CD that I didn't enjoy - the sound quality which is inconsistent, and the music, which with its proliferation of synthesized strings instruments was at best distracting and at worst really annoying.

When I got past these annoyances and focused on the words of guidance I did get a lot out of this CD and was pleased to have alternatives to my normal meditation.
