Creator: Thomas Ashley-Farrand![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Can the simple act of uttering a sacred sound influence your physical health, your emotional state, even the world around you? In this excellent audio course Thomas Ashley-Farrand guides the listener through the powerful and fascinating world of Sanskrit mantras. Thomas Ashley-Farrand begins by explaining that Sanskrit mantras are spiritual formulas, sounds that have been put together in an almost scientific way to produce particular results. They are used to help the mind arrive at a state of tranquillity allowing it to really concentrate and really think. Only five minutes into the CD I was already hooked by this captivating subject... After the introduction we are then introduced to the basic 'Seed' sounds such as "Shrim", "Dom" and "Eim" which it is explained can be used to bring abundance, dispel negativity and encourage wisdom. Later in the CD the mantras did start to become more complex and I found it hard to keep up with the speed of the course. It was at this point that I realised that this isn't the kind of CD you simply put on and listen to from beginning to end but rather is something that should be listened to in small chunks, absorbed and then practised. I found this CD absolutely fascinating. Thomas Ashley-Farrand balances facts, explanations and background information on the mantras with practical examples and encourages the listener to join in and vocalise the mantras throughout the CD. I'm usually not a fan of the spoken word courses on CD, I usually get irritated by the accent or something silly like that, but I think that after listening to this course I've been converted. |

This is the powerful story of the author's struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and how a healer's unusual prescription of mindful altruism - to 'give away 29 gifts in 29 days' - ignited her energy, her happiness, and invited more abundance into her life.
