Think about it: There are so many foods associated with Christmas that we only seem to have available at that time of the year so we eat because we're not going to see this food again for another year. Or it's a time of family gatherings so we eat to stuff down emotions as old buttons get pressed or we eat because that’s what our family does during celebratory times. Or it’s a time when you can’t be with loved ones so you eat the loneliness away. Or we're on holiday so we eat because...well aren’t holidays are times to 'let it all hang out'. Or we eat more because everyone around us is as well - you know how you weren't thinking of eating until you saw someone else diving into the fridge for left-overs and then it suddenly sorta gives you permission to eat as well, or we eat because there are all these left-overs and we're still members of the clean plate club. 2007, we resolve is the year when we are finally going to get it right – when we’re finally going to be united in happiness with our scale!!!! This makes us ultra vulnerable to going into a panic-stricken diet mode! Resolve instead to try something NEW. Instead of resolving to change your body, resolve to change your MIND: your habits and mindsets because when your mind changes, then your body can follow naturally and without all the trauma.
