Comedy Giants at The Hyatt Regency
The Hyatt Regency, situated in cosmopolitan Rosebank, north of Johannesburg has brought together the cream of the crop of comedy to create an afternoon of cracking food and belly aching laughter.
Comedians Loyiso Gola - recently nominated for 'Best Comedian of the Year' in the first Stars of Mzansi Awards 2008 (SA's version of the Emmy Awards) has a sense of humour that has carved him into a comedic sensation;
Kagiso Lediga - winner of the 'Best Actor' award for Bunny Chow at the Cape Town World Cinema Festival in 2007, a film his production company Dog Pack Films produced, has made his mark on the comedy and film industry in a big way.
The nights also includes Mel Miller- If there was a King of Comedians it would most certainly be Mel, He has entertained South African Audiences for years and his nonchalant attitude for crossing sensitive boundaries has earned him raucous laughter time and time again and Chris Forrest - the deadpan face of American stand-up. Chris' witty and cynical one-line humour is thought provoking and to the point. Totally nerdish and unflappable, his Drew Carey- looks and slowed-up delivery has ensured that audiences take to him enthusiastically. No Stranger to the international scene, Chris performed at the Edinburgh festival in 2003 and 2005 (the latter to sell out crowds).
