Starting Tuesday, 23rd October at the Vajrapani Buddhist Centre in Blairgowrie
The classes will take place at the Centre, No 4 Francis Road, Blairgowrie instead of the Bryanston venue, and consist of a five week "course" on “Dealing with Anger”.
They are suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced meditators. Each class is self contained, though for maximum benefit, it is advisable to attend the whole course. The classes provide an ideal introduction to meditation and Buddhism, teaching effective and practical methods for overcoming problems and increasing happiness in daily life.
The weekly topics are as follows: 23.10.07 Understanding Anger - Seeing its true nature 30.10.07 What Triggers Anger - Why we get angry 06.11.07 Dealing with Difficulties Peacefully - Remaining calm all the time 13.11.07 A Radical Solution to Anger - Using Buddha’s extraordinary wisdom 20.11.07 Responding to Anger - Learning not to retaliate
Facility Fee: R25 per class or R 100 for the course if paid in advance. There is no need to book.
On Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm – 8.30pm at the Centre, there are teachings and guided meditation classes on the subject of “Universal Compassion”
On Thursday evenings from 7.00pm – 8.00pm at Velvet Glove, 47, 6th St, Parkhurst, teachings and guided meditation classes focusing on "Happiness through Meditation".
